Fair Haven Releases Complete Rebranding of Its Community, Looks to the Future

Birmingham, AL – Fair Haven will release a complete rebranding of the community this month in conjunction with extensive campus construction and renovation and the release of a new name and logo last month to help move the community into a new era of senior care.

Fair Haven is celebrating 55 years of enriching the lives of older adults in Birmingham though rejuvenation for the modern era and by becoming the first continuing care retirement community in the state of Alabama to transition to the Action Pact household model of care. This revolutionary model of care, the focal point of their new brand, will be introduced to the community in January 2017. Residents who participate in this new model will live in an environment that looks and feels like home, with a private room and bathroom, sharing common spaces and activities with a close knit group of others. The freedom to make choices regarding their own schedules, care, and activities has been shown to help older adults live longer, more meaningful lives.

The many renovations and additions to the Fair Haven campus, including a new long term care building, a new assisted living building, and a new state-of-the-art short-term rehabilitation center support their new care model and are indicative of the future of senior care.

“Fair Haven’s completely modernized appearance will now reflect a contemporary version of our 55-year legacy—a welcoming, friendly, family-like environment that looks and feels like home,” said Christopher Tomlin, President and CEO of Methodist Homes, Fair Haven’s parent organization.

The new brand of Fair Haven will be centered on the individual by creating a welcoming and compassionate environment that operates less like a traditional retirement home and more like a family, while maintaining the faith-based, trusted quality of care that Birmingham seniors expect.

The final phases of updating the community’s infrastructure are underway, with the new skilled nursing, assisted living and rehab suites expected to be complete in January 2017. New additional independent living and assisted living apartments are expected to open in the fall of 2017.
