RN Workforce Developer

Fair Haven Retirement Community, located in Birmingham, Alabama, is currently recruiting a Registered Nurse (RN) to develop, organize, coordinate, and conduct workforce development activities including orientation of new nursing and non-nursing staff and training, testing and continuing education programs for licensed and non-licensed nursing staff in accordance with current federal, state and local standards and aligned with Fair Haven’s new “Household” care/service delivery model.

To be an effective RN Workforce Developer at Fair Haven, you must demonstrate the ability to:

  • Build strong relationships of trust with associates, direct care providers, the interdisciplinary team, and practitioners
  • Promote active engagement of adult learners in workforce development activities and opportunities
  • Provide effective 1:1 coaching and technical support to support and reinforce learning
  • Demonstrate effective presentation and educational delivery skills utilizing adult learning methodology
  • Structure and effectively lead self-governing teams
  • Demonstrated organization and administrative skills with ability to comply with workforce development documentation and record maintenance requirements in accordance with facility policy and regulatory requirements
  • Create, deploy and evaluate a structured facility-wide workforce development plan
  • Manage and analyze data such as quality measures, workforce metrics and resident engagement data to evaluate progress, identify opportunities for improvement, exercise mutual accountability and drive quality care and performance improvement

Key Qualifications

  • Registered nurse (RN) with current Alabama license in good standing
  • Minimum of 5 years workforce development experience in a long-term care setting
  • Computer and basic IT competencies. Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite, PowerPoint, Excel and virtual meeting/learning technologies
